Just drifting along...

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 12, 2009, 1:37 PM

Whew

I figured it would be a good idea to get that other journal off of my front page. In place of it, fun ramblings of nothing particularly important! Woohoo!

Yeah, I know I've been very inactive lately. It makes me a bit sad, because I remember back in the day when I nearly spent all my free time here (aside from drawing). Didn't have to worry about school or work really, so what better to spend my time on y'know? But eh, Target is still wearing me out. I haven't drawn in a month now, but I'm actually not going to let that bother me too much. I'm just letting myself take a big break. I've been mostly spending my time listening to music, reading and watching movies and of course, playing many video games. Oh and I also blame the weather. 105 degrees in plain dry heat isn't exactly comfortable, it makes me moody. :XD:

I really can't wait for July to come around so I can be in Washington for two weeks. I'm so excited for that! But for now, I have today and the weekend off. You know what that means? SLEEPSLEEPvideogamesSLEEPNAPFOOD. 8D;; I did pick up three new games at Target for real cheap yesterday. Fallout 3, FEAR 2 and Prototype. Have you guys played any of them?

Oh and though I do feel bad doing this, it'd be a bit of a relief as well. I'm going to clear my little to-do list, mostly those free sketches and such. I'll still try to get around to Solait for you Tabon, but otherwise, I just need a clean slate until I do pick up drawing again. If that does really upset you though, please let me know through a note and we can work something out I suppose, but for the time being, I simply don't have the time nor energy. So I have big apologies to Drei, Jessica, Aisuryuu, IWillFly, Koi, Kiki and Vladimiravich. Once I get back into the swing of things and when all this silly drama passes, I'll open up art trades and free sketches again.

Chicken!

Okay, something funny happened a couple days ago! I was at my favorite bookstore, and usually, once I'm done poking around there, I'll walk down to my favorite comic book store. On my way there, I came across a chicken, though I haven't the slightest where he might have come from. Seriously, there's no farms or anything in that area, so I figured he came from someone's backyard or something (hopefully he wasn't being raised for chicken fights...). Anyway, I just couldn't leave him there. Too many feral cats around, he probably wouldn't have made it through the night. Sooooo, I begged my mom, she said sure, if you can catch it.

But uh, that was the tricky part... have any of you actually tried catching a chicken? And a small feisty one at that? It's freakin' hard. :| Luckily, six or so other random people dropped what they were doing and helped me chase this chicken around the parking lot. I think it took 10 minutes to catch the booger, but I had finally gotten a hold of his tail feathers and clamped my hand on him. It was hilarious, everyone cheered and then went back to shopping and what not. XD

I named him Kevin, simply because I figured this chicken was probably a girl (very small comb on her head). And if you've seen Up, then you'll know who Kevin is. XD One of my friends from work has chickens so she took Kevin for me. I hope Kevin misses me, I gave her lots of granola which she really loved. She'd even fall asleep in my hands when I'd hold her. ;_; It was so cute~

So I guess that's my silly adventure for the month. XD And that's all the none sense I have to take about. lol Hope you guys are having a fun summer so far! I'm going to go take a nap then watch some more Friday the 13th movies. XD;; Just finished all of the Nightmare on Elm Street films so yeah... no better way to spend a weekend no? :giggle:

Take care everyone! :hug:

GAh! *tries to resist ranting and writing an essay* XD;;;;
Always loved Quarter Horses because they're what I grew up with. Fun to race with because of their short bodies. :3 Though I also love Icelandic ponies (some of the few pure wild horses left, and they're just fun loving horses), Friesians (always black), and Tennessee Walking Horses (because of their gentle personalities and the gaited pace). I do love Arabians as well, they're the kind of horse that you HAVE to be there for. They're whole personality is about forming very powerful bonds with their owners. Even in war, Arabians would stand over their owner if they fell off to protect them from the enemy. Plus I'm a huge fan of the Black Stallion (Black's supposed to be a Egyptian Black Arabian). Oh and Lippazaners, they're the big white horses (they're always white) that you see in shows doing tricks (a Spanish breed, though any Spanish horse is incredible).

So uh... yeah! XDDD What about you?

Whoa...I think I've been out fangirled. :giggle:

Oh, you mean the Icelandic ponies, the ones that are fuzzy cute with blue eyes?

Arabian horses are one of my favorites. Wow, that's cool! I never knew that about Arabians. I guess they would be the best horse for someone who is always going to be around horses. I've been to the Lippazaners show and got to sit on one of them, they are tall horses from what I remember, of course I was, er, 15 at the time. It was exciting watching them dance and jumps. I also love Palomino's, Appaloosa's and Paint's. There's a horse at the stables I've been fawning over. He is so beautiful. He has like a red/orangish coat that is speckled with white. So pretty. :love:
